马太福音21:1~11
光荣地进耶路撒冷
（可11‧1－11；路19‧28－40；约12‧12－19）
1耶稣和门徒将近耶路撒冷，到了伯法其，在橄榄山那里。
2耶稣就打发两个门徒，对他们说：「你们往对面村子里去，必看见一匹驴拴在那里，还有驴驹同在一处；你们解开，牵到我这里来。
3若有人对你们说什么，你们就说：『主要用它。』那人必立时让你们牵来。
4这事成就是要应验先知的话，说：
5要对锡安的居民说：
看哪，你的王来到你这里，
是温柔的，又骑着驴，
就是骑着驴驹子。」
6门徒就照耶稣所吩咐的去行，
7牵了驴和驴驹来，把自己的衣服搭在上面，耶稣就骑上。
8众人多半把衣服铺在路上；还有人砍下树枝来铺在路上。
9前行后随的众人喊着说：
和散那归于大卫的子孙！
奉主名来的是应当称颂的！
高高在上和散那！
10耶稣既进了耶路撒冷，合城都惊动了，说：「这是谁？」
11众人说：「这是加利利拿撒勒的先知耶稣。」
Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King
1As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, 2saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me.
3If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.”
4This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet:
5“Say to Daughter Zion,
‘See, your king comes to you,
gentle and riding on a donkey,
and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’ ”
6The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them.
7They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on.
8A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
9The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,
“Hosanna to the Son of David!”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Hosanna in the highest heaven!”
10When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?”
11The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”

当耶稣到达橄榄山的伯法其时，祂派两位门徒到村子里，去牵来一匹驴和一匹驴驹(2节)。接着，耶稣骑上驴驹，并在群众的欢呼声中进人耶路撒冷城。耶稣来到橄榄山的伯法其，特意预备要骑驴进城，借此呼应撒迎利亚书9:9的话。福音书作者引用这节经文，用以揭示耶稣是来实现神的话语的弥赛亚，也同时表明，耶稣不是当时公众所期待的政治上的弥赛亚。耶稣是弥赛亚，祂来到世上成就了圣经中所写的话语。所以，主的门徒必须记住，耶稣是旧约圣经中所预言的先知，并且是谦卑的君王。因此，我们必须尊崇耶稣为主，全心敬拜祂，传扬祂的名。
