论奸淫
27 “你们听过有话说：‘不可奸淫。’
28 但是我告诉你们：凡看见妇女就动淫念的，这人心里已经与她犯奸淫了。
29 若是你的右眼*使你跌倒，就把它挖出来，丢掉。宁可失去身体中的一部分，也不让整个身体被扔进地狱。
30 若是你的右手使你跌倒，就把它砍下来，丢掉。宁可失去身体中的一部分，也不让整个身体下地狱。”
论休妻
31 “又有话说：‘无论谁休妻，都要给她休书。’
32 但是我告诉你们：凡休妻的，除非是因不贞的缘故，否则就是使她犯奸淫了；人若娶被休的妇人，也是犯奸淫了。”
Adultery and Divorce
27-28 “You know the next commandment pretty well, too: ‘Don’t go to bed with another’s spouse.’ But don’t think you’ve preserved your virtue simply by staying out of bed. Your heart can be corrupted by lust even quicker than your body. Those leering looks you think nobody notices—they also corrupt.
29-30 “Let’s not pretend this is easier than it really is. If you want to live a morally pure life, here’s what you have to do: You have to blind your right eye the moment you catch it in a lustful leer. You have to choose to live one-eyed or else be dumped on a moral trash pile. And you have to chop off your right hand the moment you notice it raised threateningly. Better a bloody stump than your entire being discarded for good in the dump.31-32 “Remember the Scripture that says, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, let him do it legally, giving her divorce papers and her legal rights’? Too many of you are using that as a cover for selfishness and whim, pretending to be righteous just because you are ‘legal.’ Please, no more pretending. If you divorce your wife, you’re responsible for making her an adulteress (unless she has already made herself that by sexual promiscuity). And if you marry such a divorced adulteress, you’re automatically an adulterer yourself. You can’t use legal cover to mask a moral failure.”

罗 12:1~2 “所以，弟兄们，我以神的慈悲劝你们，将身体献上当作活祭，是圣洁的，是神所喜悦的，你们如此事奉乃是理所当然的。不要效法这个世界，只要心意更新而变化，叫你们察验何为神的善良、纯全、可喜悦的旨意。”
耶稣向祂的门徒提及“不可奸淫”的诫命，这是十诫中的第七条。旧约律法认定通奸的行为是罪，但耶稣说，只要在心里动了淫念，就已经犯了奸淫的罪。这意味着，在心里有奸淫的意念，就等同于在行动上犯奸淫。耶稣之所以设定比旧约律法更高的标准，是因为祂希望门徒的生命成为圣洁的活祭。若要做到这一点，就必须使心意不断更新、变化，行出神良善、纯全、可喜悦的旨意（参罗 12:1~2）。出于这个原因，耶稣告诉祂的门徒，必须有合神心意的意念。因此，耶稣的门徒不仅要有外在行为的转变，而且连心里的意念都要完全地遵循神的旨意。当我们除去了心中的情欲，活出与世界不同的生命，世人就会透过我们的见证看到圣洁的神，并遇见耶稣所教导的真理。
