以赛亚书14：24～32

SHEN 要毁灭亚述

24万军之耶/和/华起誓说：

我怎样思想，必照样成就；

我怎样定意，必照样成立，

25就是在我地上打折亚述人，

在我山上将他践踏。

他加的轭必离开以色列人；

他加的重担必离开他们的肩头。

26这是向全地所定的旨意；

这是向万国所伸出的手。

27万军之耶/和/华既然定意，谁能废弃呢？

他的手已经伸出，谁能转回呢？

　 SHEN 要毁灭非利士

28 亚哈斯王崩的那年，就有以下的默示：

29 非利士全地啊，

不要因击打你的杖折断就喜乐。

因为从蛇的根必生出毒蛇；

它所生的是火焰的飞龙。

30贫寒人的长子必有所食；

穷乏人必安然躺卧。

我必以饥荒治死你的根；

你所余剩的人必被杀戮。

31门哪，应当哀号！

城啊，应当呼喊！

非利士全地啊，你都消化了！

因为有烟从北方出来，

他行伍中并无乱队的。

32可怎样回答外邦的使者呢？

必说：耶/和/华建立了锡安；

他百姓中的困苦人必投奔在其中。

24The Lord Almighty has sworn,

“Surely, as I have planned, so it will be,

and as I have purposed, so it will happen.

25I will crush the Assyrian in my land;

on my mountains I will trample him down.

His yoke will be taken from my people,

and his burden removed from their shoulders.”

26This is the plan determined for the whole world;

this is the hand stretched out over all nations.

27For the Lord Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him?

His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?

A Prophecy Against the Philistines

28This prophecy came in the year King Ahaz died:

29Do not rejoice, all you Philistines,

that the rod that struck you is broken;

from the root of that snake will spring up a viper,

its fruit will be a darting, venomous serpent.

30The poorest of the poor will find pasture,

and the needy will lie down in safety.

But your root I will destroy by famine;

it will slay your survivors.

31Wail, you gate! Howl, you city!

Melt away, all you Philistines!

A cloud of smoke comes from the north,

and there is not a straggler in its ranks.

32What answer shall be given

to the envoys of that nation?

“The Lord has established Zion,

and in her his afflicted people will find refuge.”

在前文，以赛亚预言 SHEN 已经定意审判未来将成为以色列威胁的巴比伦帝国（参赛13：1—14：23），那么， SHEN 审判犹大当时最大的仇敌亚述帝国，就是顺理成章的事了。当时，亚述的军事力量强大到似乎可以瞬间毁灭犹大，然而 SHEN 却反复强调亚述的威胁必定会离开（24—25节）。最终，犹大照着这预言脱离了亚述的威胁，亚述被巴比伦所灭。接着以赛亚论到有关非利士的预言，亚述是犹大现在的仇敌，而非利士是犹大过去最大的威胁。当时，威胁着非利士的众势力偃旗息鼓，于是非利士梦想着东山再起，然而，在 SHEN 的计划之中，非利士的命运已经写就（29—31 节）。 SHEN 是主宰全世界和列国的 SHEN ， TA 必定审判 SHEN 百姓的仇敌，好使自己的百姓得若恢复。盼望我们信靠今天也在我们的生活中成就美好计划的 SHEN ，将人生的主权全然交给 SHEN 。
