以赛亚书11：1～9

和平的国度

1 从耶西的本必发一条；

从他根生的枝子必结果实。

2 耶/和/华的灵必住在他身上，

就是使他有智慧和聪明的灵，

谋略和能力的灵，

知识和敬畏耶/和/华的灵。

3 他必以敬畏耶/和/华为乐；

行审判不凭眼见，

断是非也不凭耳闻；

4 却要以公义审判贫穷人，

以正直判断世上的谦卑人，

以口中的杖击打世界，

以嘴里的气杀戮恶人。

5 公义必当他的腰带；

信实必当他胁下的带子。

6 豺狼必与绵羊羔同居，

豹子与山羊羔同卧；

少壮狮子与牛犊并肥畜同群；

小孩子要牵引它们。

7 牛必与熊同食；

牛犊必与小熊同卧；

狮子必吃草，与牛一样。

8 吃奶的孩子必玩耍在虺蛇的洞口；

断奶的婴儿必按手在毒蛇的穴上。

9 在我圣山的遍处，

这一切都不伤人，不害物；

因为认识耶/和/华的知识要充满遍地，

好像水充满洋海一般。

The Branch From Jesse

1 A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;

from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.

2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—

the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,

the Spirit of counsel and of might,

the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—

3 and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.

He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,

or decide by what he hears with his ears;

4 but with righteousness he will judge the needy,

with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth.

He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth;

with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.

5 Righteousness will be his belt

and faithfulness the sash around his waist.

6 The wolf will live with the lamb,

the leopard will lie down with the goat,

the calf and the lion and the yearling together;

and a little child will lead them.

7 The cow will feed with the bear,

their young will lie down together,

and the lion will eat straw like the ox.

8 The infant will play near the cobra’s den,

and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest.

9 They will neither harm nor destroy

on all my holy mountain,

for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord

as the waters cover the sea.

灵/修指南

以赛亚预言了弥赛亚的降生，及其将统治的和平之国。弥赛亚是在 SHEN 的审判之后，从所剩下的耶西的残干，即大卫的后裔所出的(1节)。 TA 将被耶/和/华的灵充满，以 SHEN 大能的话语，以公义正直和信实统治百姓(2，4-~5节)。 SHEN 让 TA 的百姓在面临亚述威胁的国家危机面前，仰望 SHEN 的国—— SHEN 的国是让一切敌对关系都变为和睦、既不伤人也不害物的和平国度(6-9节)。当主所统治的和平全然临到，曾因不认识 SHEN 而彼此为敌的世界将遍满认识耶/和/华的知识，“好像水充满海洋一般”(9节，参哈2:14)。盼望我们省察自己的生活中，是否仍有一些地方不能全然交托给 SHEN ，以致失去从 SHEN 而来的平安。当我们让主作我们人生的统治者，我们就将得享全然的平安。
