申命记10:12~22

神的要求
12「以色列啊，现在耶和华－你　神向你所要的是什么呢？只要你敬畏耶和华－你的　神，遵行他的道，爱他，尽心尽性事奉他，

13遵守他的诫命律例，就是我今日所吩咐你的，为要叫你得福。

14看哪，天和天上的天，地和地上所有的，都属耶和华－你的　神。

15耶和华但喜悦你的列祖，爱他们，从万民中拣选他们的后裔，就是你们，像今日一样。

16所以你们要将心里的污秽除掉，不可再硬着颈项。

17因为耶和华－你们的　神－他是万神之神，万主之主，至大的　神，大有能力，大而可畏，不以貌取人，也不受贿赂。

18他为孤儿寡妇伸冤，又怜爱寄居的，赐给他衣食。

19所以你们要怜爱寄居的，因为你们在埃及地也作过寄居的。

20你要敬畏耶和华－你的　神，事奉他，专靠他，也要指着他的名起誓。

21他是你所赞美的，是你的　神，为你做了那大而可畏的事，是你亲眼所看见的。

22你的列祖七十人下埃及；现在耶和华－你的　神使你如同天上的星那样多。」

Fear the Lord
12And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,

13and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?
14To the Lord your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it.

15Yet the Lord set his affection on your ancestors and loved them, and he chose you, their descendants, above all the nations—as it is today. 16Circumcise your hearts, therefore, and do not be stiff-necked any longer. 17For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.

18He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing.

19And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt.

20Fear the Lord your God and serve him. Hold fast to him and take your oaths in his name.

21He is the one you praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.

22Your ancestors who went down into Egypt were seventy in all, and now the Lord your God has made you as numerous as the stars in the sky.

46:26~27：“那与雅各同到埃及的，除了他媳妇之外，凡从他生的共有六十六人。还有约瑟在埃及所生的两个儿子。到埃及的雅各全家共有七十人。”

民26:51 “这就是以色列人中被数的，共有六十万零一千七百三十名。”

灵修指南

摩西说，神向以色列百姓要求的是敬畏、爱与顺服（12~13节）。摩西强调，神虽是掌管宇宙万物的全能主宰，却因爱拣选了以色列人（14~15节）。并且，尽管神让人敬畏，却又是公义无私、怜悯且照顾弱者（17~18节）。然而，惊人的是，这样的神却成为以色列的神，把无条件的爱赐给他们。这种爱不是抽象、无法看见的情感，它显明在神为以色列带来的繁荣昌盛，以及为他们所做大而可畏的事上（22节；参创46:26~27；民26:51）。这位神不仅是以色列人的神，也是我们的神，祂希望自己的百姓能够认识祂的这些属性，持守祂所赐的命令，你是如何回应神所要的呢？
