59约瑟取了身体，用干净的细麻布裹好，
60然后把他安放在自己的*新墓穴里，就是他凿在岩石里的。他又把大石头滚到墓门口，然后离开。
61有抹大拉的马利亚和另一个马利亚在那里，对着坟墓坐着。

64因此，请吩咐人将坟墓把守妥当，直到第三天，恐怕他的门徒来把他偷了去，就告诉百姓说:”他从死人中复活了。”这样的话，那后来的迷惑就比先前的更厉害了。”
65彼拉多说:“你们有看守的兵，去吧!尽你们所能的把守妥当。”
66他们就带着看守的兵同去，封了石头，将坟墓把守妥当。

62-64 After sundown, the high priestts and Pharisees arranged a meeting with Pilate They said, “Sir, we just remembered that that liar announced while he was still alive.’After three days I will be raised.’ We’ve got to get that tomb sealed until the third day. There’s a good chance his disciples wil come and steal the corpse and then go around saying, ‘He’s risen from the dead. Then we’ll be worse off than before, the fina deceit surpassing the first.”
65-66 Pilate told them,”You will have a guard.Go ahead and secure it the best you can.” So they went out and secured the tomb, sealing the stone and posting guards

有一个人在耶稣死后仍为池挂心，希望能安葬池的身体，这人就是亚利马太的财主约瑟(57节)。约瑟去见彼拉多，请求将耶稣的身体取去，接着用干净的细麻布恭敬裹好，安放在自己的新墓穴里，并把大石头滚到墓门口安置好(60节)。此外，抹大拉的马利亚和另一位马利亚也面对坟墓坐着，一直守在耶稣的旁边(61节)。他们没有为躲避祭司长和法利赛人而逃走，一直守在主的身边直到最后。令人遗憾的是，耶稣死后，十二门徒一个也没有留下。卖主的犹大结束了自己的生命，被视为首席门徒的彼得三次不认主，其他门徒也都没有留在主的身边。这让我们反思，跟随主的门徒，不该因为恐惧而选择逃跑，反倒应该要像主过去与我们同在时一般，坚守使命的位分直到最后，这才是真正爱主的表现。
