马可福音10：32～45

耶稣第三次预言受难和复活

32 他们行路上耶路撒冷去。耶稣在前头走，门徒就希奇，跟从的人也害怕。耶稣又叫过十二个门徒来，把自己将要遭遇的事告诉他们说：

33「看哪，我们上耶路撒冷去，人子将要被交给祭司长和文士，他们要定他死罪，交给外邦人。

34 他们要戏弄他，吐唾沫在他脸上，鞭打他，杀害他。过了三天，他要复活。」

雅各和约翰的要求

35 西庇太的儿子雅各、约翰进前来，对耶稣说：「夫子，我们无论求你什么，愿你给我们做。」

36 耶稣说：「要我给你们做什么？」

37 他们说：「赐我们在你的荣耀里，一个坐在你右边，一个坐在你左边。」

38 耶稣说：「你们不知道所求的是什么。我所喝的杯，你们能喝吗？我所受的洗，你们能受吗？」

39 他们说：「我们能。」耶稣说：「我所喝的杯，你们也要喝；我所受的洗，你们也要受；

40 只是坐在我的左右，不是我可以赐的，乃是为谁预备的，就赐给谁。」

41 那十个门徒听见，就恼怒雅各、约翰。

42 耶稣叫他们来，对他们说：「你们知道，外邦人有尊为君王的，治理他们，有大臣操权管束他们。

43 只是在你们中间，不是这样。你们中间，谁愿为大，就必作你们的用人；

44 在你们中间，谁愿为首，就必作众人的仆人。

45 因为人子来，并不是要受人的服事，乃是要服事人，并且要舍命作多人的赎价。」

Jesus Predicts His Death a Third Time

32 They were on their way up to Jerusalem, with Jesus leading the way, and the disciples were astonished, while those who followed were afraid. Again he took the Twelve aside and told them what was going to happen to him.

33 “We are going up to Jerusalem,”he said, “and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles,

34 who will mock him and spit on him, flog him and kill him. Three days later he will rise.”

The Request of James and John

35 Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him. “Teacher,” they said, “we want you to do for us whatever we ask.”

36 “What do you want me to do for you?”he asked.

37 They replied, “Let one of us sit at your right and the other at your left in your glory.”

38 “You don’t know what you are asking,”Jesus said. “Can you drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?”

39 “We can,” they answered.Jesus said to them, “You will drink the cup I drink and be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with,

40 but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared.”

41 When the ten heard about this, they became indignant with James and John.

42 Jesus called them together and said, “You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them.

43 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,

44 and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all.

45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

雅各和约翰进前来，对耶稣说(35节):在耶稣第三次预言受难之后，门徒仍旧注目世间的高位。
杯、洗(38节):指耶稣将受的苦难和死亡。
赎价(45节):为了释放奴隶、罪人和俘虏而付出的代价。

灵修指南

耶稣第三次对门徒预言自己将要受难及复活(32~34节)。门徒却不明白的意思，雅各和约翰甚至求耶稣赐给他们至尊的荣耀(37节)，进而引发其他门徒的不满(41节)，因为他们都期盼耶稣将以色列从罗马政权解放出来，也都渴望为自己谋得高位。但是，耶稣却教导他们，真正的领袖是要舍己，作众人的仆人(43~44节)，如同祂来是要服事人，并舍命作多人的赎价(45节)。耶稣是我们最完美的服事榜样，盼望我们也能放下私欲，单单爱祂，效法降卑舍己的样式，并彰显祂的荣耀。
