加拉太书1：1～5
治好被污鬼附身的孩子
14 耶稣到了门徒那里，看见有许多人围着他们，又有文士和他们辩论。
15 众人一见耶稣，都甚希奇，就跑上去问他的安。
16 耶稣问他们说：「你们和他们辩论的是什么？」
17 众人中间有一个人回答说：「夫子，我带了我的儿子到你这里来，他被哑巴鬼附着。
18 无论在哪里，鬼捉弄他，把他摔倒，他就口中流沫，咬牙切齿，身体枯干。我请过你的门徒把鬼赶出去，他们却是不能。」
19 耶稣说：「嗳！不信的世代啊，我在你们这里要到几时呢？我忍耐你们要到几时呢？把他带到我这里来吧。」
20 他们就带了他来。他一见耶稣，鬼便叫他重重地抽风，倒在地上，翻来覆去，口中流沫。
21 耶稣问他父亲说：「他得这病有多少日子呢？」回答说：「从小的时候。
22 鬼屡次把他扔在火里、水里，要灭他。你若能做什么，求你怜悯我们，帮助我们。」
23 耶稣对他说：「你若能信，在信的人，凡事都能。」
24 孩子的父亲立时喊着说：「我信！但我信不足，求主帮助。」
25 耶稣看见众人都跑上来，就斥责那污鬼，说：「你这聋哑的鬼，我吩咐你从他里头出来，再不要进去！」
26 那鬼喊叫，使孩子大大地抽了一阵风，就出来了。孩子好像死了一般，以致众人多半说：「他是死了。」
27 但耶稣拉着他的手，扶他起来，他就站起来了。
28 耶稣进了屋子，门徒就暗暗地问他说：「我们为什么不能赶出他去呢？」
29 耶稣说：「非用祷告，这一类的鬼总不能出来。」
Jesus Heals a Boy Possessed by an Impure Spirit
14 When they came to the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and the teachers of the law arguing with them.
15 As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet him.
16 “What are you arguing with them about?”he asked.
17 A man in the crowd answered, “Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech.
18 Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.”
19 “You unbelieving generation,”Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”
20 So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.
21 Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?”
“From childhood,” he answered.
22 “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”
23 “‘If you can’?”said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
24 Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
25 When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,”he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”
26 The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.”
27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.
28 After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”
29 He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer.”

这不信的世代啊(19节):“不信”不是指他们信心不足，而是指他们完全没有信心。“这……世代”指包含了门徒、文士和众人在内的所有以色列人。
这一类的邪灵(29节):暗指经文中的邪灵，比门徒过去所赶出的污灵更为顽强。
