出埃及记19:16~25

16 到了第三天早晨，在山上有雷轰、闪电，和密云，并且角声甚大，营中的百姓尽都发颤。

17 摩西率领百姓出营迎接　 SHEN ，都站在山下。

18 西奈全山冒烟，因为耶/和/华在火中降于山上。山的烟气上腾，如烧窑一般，遍山大大地震动。

19 角声渐渐地高而又高，摩西就说话，　 SHEN 有声音答应他。

20 耶/和/华降临在西奈山顶上，耶/和/华召摩西上山顶，摩西就上去。

21 耶/和/华对摩西说：「你下去嘱咐百姓，不可闯过来到我面前观看，恐怕他们有多人死亡；

22 又叫亲近我的祭司自洁，恐怕我忽然出来击杀他们。」

23 摩西对耶/和/华说：「百姓不能上西奈山，因为你已经嘱咐我们说：『要在山的四围定界限，叫山成圣。』」

24 耶/和/华对他说：「下去吧，你要和亚伦一同上来；只是祭司和百姓不可闯过来上到我面前，恐怕我忽然出来击杀他们。」

25 于是摩西下到百姓那里告诉他们。

16 On the morning of the third day there was thunder and lightning, with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast. Everyone in the camp trembled.

17 Then Moses led the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.

18 Mount Sinai was covered with smoke, because the Lord descended on it in fire. The smoke billowed up from it like smoke from a furnace, and the whole mountain trembled violently.

19 As the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke and the voice of God answered him.

20 The Lord descended to the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the top of the mountain. So Moses went up

21 and the Lord said to him, “Go down and warn the people so they do not force their way through to see the Lord and many of them perish.

22 Even the priests, who approach the Lord, must consecrate themselves, or the Lord will break out against them.”

23 Moses said to the Lord, “The people cannot come up Mount Sinai, because you yourself warned us, ‘Put limits around the mountain and set it apart as holy.’ ”

24 The Lord replied, “Go down and bring Aaron up with you. But the priests and the people must not force their way through to come up to the Lord, or he will break out against them.”

25 So Moses went down to the people and told them.

免得耶/和/华忽然出来击杀他们(22，24节):以色列百姓若是越界，就会遭到可怕的惩罚，因为 SHEN 所在的地方不可近前。

利20:26 “你们要归我为圣，因为–我耶/和/华是 SHEN 圣的;我把你们从万民中分别出来，作我的子民。”

灵/修指南

SHEN 降临在西奈山并召摩西上山顶(18,20节)。 SHEN 吩咐摩西下去警告百姓不可靠近，免得他们遭受死亡，又要求祭司把自己分别为圣(21~22节)。两天前， SHEN 已经叫百姓分别为圣，而这里再次对祭司强调了圣洁的重要。因为 SHEN 是圣洁的，不喜悦不洁，所以不洁之物无法在 TA 面前站立。 SHEN 希望 TA 所拣选的百姓能够拥有圣洁的意识，并追求成圣。摩西将 SHEN 的话告诉百姓，以免他们被圣洁的 SHEN 击杀。虽然 SHEN 的百姓生活在堕落、不洁的世界，却不能忘记自己与世界有所分别的身分(参利20:26)。 SHEN 今天也希望我们能像以色列的百姓和祭司一样，使自己分别为圣，活出圣洁。盼望我们都能定睛在 SHEN 而非世界的身上，竭力活出 SHEN 百姓应有的圣洁生活。
