箴言15：1～17

1 回答柔和，使怒消退；

言语暴戾，触动怒气。

2 智慧人的舌善发知识；

愚昧人的口吐出愚昧。

3 耶/和/华的眼目无处不在；

恶人善人，他都鉴察。

4 温良的舌是生命树；

乖谬的嘴使人心碎。

5 愚妄人藐视父亲的管教；

领受责备的，得着见识。

6 义人家中多有财宝；

恶人得利反受扰害。

7 智慧人的嘴播扬知识；

愚昧人的心并不如此。

8 恶人献/祭，为耶/和/华所憎恶；

正直人祈祷，为他所喜悦。

9 恶人的道路，为耶/和/华所憎恶；

追求公义的，为他所喜爱。

10 舍弃正路的，必受严刑；

恨恶责备的，必致死亡。

11 阴间和灭亡尚在耶/和/华眼前，

何况世人的心呢？

12 亵慢人不爱受责备；

他也不就近智慧人。

13 心中喜乐，面带笑容；

心里忧愁，灵被损伤。

14 聪明人心求知识；

愚昧人口吃愚昧。

15 困苦人的日子都是愁苦；

心中欢畅的，常享丰筵。

16 少有财宝，敬畏耶/和/华，

强如多有财宝，烦乱不安。

17 吃素菜，彼此相爱，

强如吃肥牛，彼此相恨。

1 A gentle answer turns away wrath,

but a harsh word stirs up anger.

2 The tongue of the wise adorns knowledge,

but the mouth of the fool gushes folly.

3 The eyes of the Lord are everywhere,

keeping watch on the wicked and the good.

4 The soothing tongue is a tree of life,

but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.

5 A fool spurns a parent’s discipline,

but whoever heeds correction shows prudence.

6 The house of the righteous contains great treasure,

but the income of the wicked brings ruin.

7 The lips of the wise spread knowledge,

but the hearts of fools are not upright.

8 The Lord detests the sacrifice of the wicked,

but the prayer of the upright pleases him.

9 The Lord detests the way of the wicked,

but he loves those who pursue righteousness.

10 Stern discipline awaits anyone who leaves the path;

the one who hates correction will die.

11 Death and Destruction lie open before the Lord—

how much more do human hearts!

12 Mockers resent correction,

so they avoid the wise.

13 A happy heart makes the face cheerful,

but heartache crushes the spirit.

14 The discerning heart seeks knowledge,

but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly.

15 All the days of the oppressed are wretched,

but the cheerful heart has a continual feast.

16 Better a little with the fear of the Lord

than great wealth with turmoil.

17 Better a small serving of vegetables with love

than a fattened calf with hatred.

耶/和/华的眼目(3节): SHEN 不仅是无所不在的，也是全知全能的，人的思想和行为都无法向 SHEN 隐藏。
温良的舌是生命树(4节): “温良的舌”指的是可以医治心灵创伤的“温柔言语”。
阴间和冥府(11节): 阴间是旧约中人们认为人死后的去处，而冥府是比阴间更低展的地方。

义人是领受责备的(5节)、正直的(8节)、追求公义的(9节)，与之相反，恶人是藐视父亲管教的(5节)、背弃正路的(10节)、傲慢的(12节)、恨恶责备的(10.12节)。义人和恶人在言语上有着明显的对比。义人是智慧人(2.7节)，用柔和的回答使人怒气消退(1节)，温良的舌好似生命树，给人带来生命和希望(4节)；而恶人的言语则充满粗暴，使人动怒(1节)，又口吐愚昧和邪恶使人心碎(2.4节)。

我们口中所说的话都是从我们的心里发出的，所以，所罗门又比较了智慧人和愚昧人的内心(14节)。又说， SHEN 的眼目无处不在，鉴察恶人善人(3节)，阴间和冥府尚且在耶/和/华面前，何况世人的心呢？因此，要改变我们的言语，就要先改变我们的内心，要让我们的内心充满喜乐(13节)。盼望 SHEN 能更新我们的心田，使我们在 SHEN 面前得享尊荣，以温良的言语造就他人。
