箴言14:1~18

1智慧妇人建立家室；
愚妄妇人亲手拆毁。
2行动正直的，敬畏耶/和/华；
行事乖僻的，却藐视他。
3愚妄人口中骄傲，如杖责打己身；
智慧人的嘴必保守自己。
4家里无牛，槽头干净；
土产加多乃凭牛力。
5诚实见证人不说谎话；
假见证人吐出谎言。
6亵慢人寻智慧，却寻不着；
聪明人易得知识。
7到愚昧人面前，
不见他嘴中有知识。
8通达人的智慧在乎明白己道；
愚昧人的愚妄乃是诡诈。
9愚妄人犯罪，以为戏耍；
正直人互相喜悦。
10心中的苦楚，自己知道；
心里的喜乐，外人无干。
11奸恶人的房屋必倾倒；
正直人的帐棚必兴盛。
12有一条路，人以为正，
至终成为死亡之路。
13人在喜笑中，心也忧愁；
快乐至极就生愁苦。
14心中背道的，必满得自己的结果；
善人必从自己的行为得以知足。
15愚蒙人是话都信；
通达人步步谨慎。
16智慧人惧怕，就远离恶事；
愚妄人却狂傲自恃。
17轻易发怒的，行事愚妄；
设立诡计的，被人恨恶。
18愚蒙人得愚昧为产业；
通达人得知识为冠冕。

1The wise woman builds her house,

but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.

2Whoever fears the Lord walks uprightly,

but those who despise him are devious in their ways.

3A fool’s mouth lashes out with pride,

but the lips of the wise protect them.

4Where there are no oxen, the manger is empty,

but from the strength of an ox come abundant harvests.

5An honest witness does not deceive,

but a false witness pours out lies.

6The mocker seeks wisdom and finds none,

but knowledge comes easily to the discerning.

7Stay away from a fool,

for you will not find knowledge on their lips.

8The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways,

but the folly of fools is deception.

9Fools mock at making amends for sin,

but goodwill is found among the upright.

10Each heart knows its own bitterness,

and no one else can share its joy.

11The house of the wicked will be destroyed,

but the tent of the upright will flourish.

12There is a way that appears to be right,

but in the end it leads to death.

13Even in laughter the heart may ache,

and rejoicing may end in grief.

14The faithless will be fully repaid for their ways,

and the good rewarded for theirs.

15The simple believe anything,

but the prudent give thought to their steps.

16The wise fear the Lord and shun evil,

but a fool is hotheaded and yet feels secure.

17A quick-tempered person does foolish things,

and the one who devises evil schemes is hated.

18The simple inherit folly,

but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

愚昧人（7节）：非指无知或没有教养的人，而是指因缺乏智慧、心存骄傲而藐视 SHEN 、与 SHEN 为敌的人。

箴 31：10“才德的妇人谁能得着呢？她的价值远胜过宝石。”

帖前5：22“各样恶事要禁戒。”

所罗门超越个人的层面，将教导的范围扩大到家庭层面（1节）。他说，一个家庭的兴亡盛衰不是偶然成就的，而在乎每个家庭成员所选择的生活态度。智慧的妇人能够使家庭和睦，使每个家庭成员都受到照顾，又使家境丰富，人丁兴旺，使家庭备受尊荣（参箴31：10）；而愚昧的妇人则行事乖张，为人懒惰，使家庭在道德和物质上都面临衰败。作为 SHEN 的百姓，我们应当在家庭中智慧勤勉行事，建立和睦的家庭。倘若我们忽略了自己在家庭中的责任，那么在其他事上无论再怎么成功，终究也不是美事。此外，所罗门还教导说要远离恶人和愚昧人（7节），我们只有远离恶人和愚昧人，才能禁戒各样的恶事（参帖前5：22）。盼望我们在 SHEN 的智慧面前建立自己，远离恶人恶事，用 SHEN 的话建立我们的家庭。
