箴言12:1~13

1 喜爱管教的，就是喜爱知识；

恨恶责备的，却是畜类。

2 善人必蒙耶/和/华的恩惠；

设诡计的人，耶/和/华必定他的罪。

3 人靠恶行不能坚立；

义人的根必不动摇。

4 才德的妇人是丈夫的冠冕；

贻羞的妇人如同朽烂在她丈夫的骨中。

5 义人的思念是公平；

恶人的计谋是诡诈。

6 恶人的言论是埋伏流人的血；

正直人的口必拯救人。

7 恶人倾覆，归于无有；

义人的家必站得住。

8人必按自己的智慧被称赞；

心中乖谬的，必被藐视。

9 被人轻贱，却有仆人，

强如自尊，缺少食物。

10 义人顾惜他牲畜的命；

恶人的怜悯也是残忍。

11 耕种自己田地的，必得饱食；

追随虚浮的，却是无知。

12 恶人想得坏人的网罗；

义人的根得以结实。

13 恶人嘴中的过错是自己的网罗；

但义人必脱离患难。

1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,

but whoever hates correction is stupid.

2 Good people obtain favor from the Lord,

but he condemns those who devise wicked schemes.

3 No one can be established through wickedness,

but the righteous cannot be uprooted.

4 A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown,

but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.

5 The plans of the righteous are just,

but the advice of the wicked is deceitful.

6 The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood,

but the speech of the upright rescues them.

7 The wicked are overthrown and are no more,

but the house of the righteous stands firm.

8 A person is praised according to their prudence,

and one with a warped mind is despised.

9 Better to be a nobody and yet have a servant

than pretend to be somebody and have no food.

10 The righteous care for the needs of their animals,

but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.

11 Those who work their land will have abundant food,

but those who chase fantasies have no sense.

12 The wicked desire the stronghold of evildoers,

but the root of the righteous endures.

13 Evildoers are trapped by their sinful talk,

and so the innocent escape trouble.

所罗门比较了义人和恶人在本质上的不同 :恶人图谋欺骗和加害于人，不顾惜他人生命 (5~6.10节);为了自己的利益，甚至不惜流人的血 (6节):追求虚浮和不义之财，恨恶责备 (1,11~12节)，这些人要被 SHEN 定罪(2节)。实际上，在 SHEN 的惩戒到来之前，他们就要因自己的嘴唇和言语而倾覆，归于无有 (7,13节)。义人的言语和行为正直，追求公平，又救人性命(5-6节);恶人不惜以他人为谋利的手段，而义人则顾惜他人乃至牲畜的性命 (10节);义人因为敬畏 SHEN ，所以希望透过自己的言语和行动来帮助和造就他人，也喜爱 SHEN 的管教和话语(1节)。拥有属天智慧的人不会用唯我独尊的态度来对待他人和世界，而是顾惜和拯救 SHEN 所创造的万物。请铭记，我们只有敬畏 SHEN ，才会活出拯救和造就他人的生活。
