开始重建圣殿
8 百姓到了耶路撒冷 SHEN 殿的地方。第二年二月，撒拉铁的儿子所罗巴伯，约萨达的儿子耶书亚和其余的弟兄，就是祭/司、利未人，并一切被掳归回耶路撒冷的人，都兴工建造；又派利未人，从二十岁以外的，督理建造耶/和/华殿的工作。 9 于是犹大的后裔，就是耶书亚和他的子孙与弟兄，甲篾和他的子孙，利未人希拿达的子孙与弟兄，都一同起来，督理那在 SHEN 殿做工的人。
10 匠人立耶/和/华殿根基的时候，祭/司皆穿礼服吹号，亚萨的子孙利未人敲钹，照以色/列王大卫所定的例，都站着赞美耶/和/华。 11 他们彼此唱和，赞美称谢耶/和/华说：他本为善，他向以/色列人永发慈爱。他们赞美耶/和/华的时候，众民大声呼喊，因耶/和/华殿的根基已经立定。 12 然而有许多祭/司、利未人、族长，就是见过旧殿的老年人，现在亲眼看见立这殿的根基，便大声哭号，也有许多人大声欢呼， 13 甚至百姓不能分辨欢呼的声音和哭号的声音；因为众人大声呼喊，声音听到远处。

Rebuilding the Temple
8 In the second month of the second year after their arrival at the house of God in Jerusalem, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, Joshua son of Jozadak and the rest of the people (the priests and the Levites and all who had returned from the captivity to Jerusalem) began the work. They appointed Levites twenty years old and older to supervise the building of the house of the Lord. 9 Joshua and his sons and brothers and Kadmiel and his sons (descendants of Hodaviah) and the sons of Henadad and their sons and brothers—all Levites—joined together in supervising those working on the house of God.
10 When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, the priests in their vestments and with trumpets, and the Levites (the sons of Asaph) with cymbals, took their places to praise the Lord, as prescribed by David king of Israel. 11 With praise and thanksgiving they sang to the Lord: “He is good; his love toward Israel endures forever.” And all the people gave a great shout of praise to the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid. 12 But many of the older priests and Levites and family heads, who had seen the former temple, wept aloud when they saw the foundation of this temple being laid, while many others shouted for joy. 13 No one could distinguish the sound of the shouts of joy from the sound of weeping, because the people made so much noise. And the sound was heard far away.
